Tourism is a $66 billion industry in New York City. The Staten Island Ferry is one of the most visited attractions in New York City, with over 1.5 million tourists riding the Ferry each year.
“We at Borough Hall know tourism is an important economic driver, and we are excited to be able to assist in that effort by providing this tourism kiosk at the St. George Ferry Terminal,” said Borough President James Oddo. “Our goal is to connect tourists to the wonderful cultural attractions Staten Island has to offer, provide directions and information on where they can eat, shop, and stay, and to let people know Staten Island is open for business in every way possible.”
Applications for the volunteer positions are currently being accepted. All inquiries should be made by April 1. For more information, contact Colleen Siuzdak at the Staten Island Borough President’s Office of Tourism and Cultural Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org or 718-816-2057.
