 Borough President Vito Fossella visited the Michael J. Petrides School to share some exciting news: He is allocating capital funding for the purchase of new chairs for the auditorium.
“Here we are at the Petrides School -- see these things here, the 1960s called, they want their chairs back,” said Borough President Fossella as he tossed aside the original chairs with Kevin Moran, the deputy chancellor of the Division of School Operations. Deputy Chancellor Moran said that despite their best efforts, “the chairs couldn’t hold up to the test of time.” “They started to really fray up and were ripping people’s pants, so we asked the Borough President for a grant -- and he was kind enough as always to help,” said Deputy Chancellor Moran. “We’re happy to be here to do our part to rip these things out and get them replaced.” Comments are closed.
