The Curtis High School Graphic Design club created an advertisement displayed on the digital billboard at the St. George Ferry Terminal asking Staten Islanders to “rethink your drink.”. Students volunteered their time and talents to this project, under the leadership of their teacher Travis Carter and SIPCW staff. This media campaign focused in neighborhoods with high rates of obesity and sugary drink consumption to raise awareness about how sugary beverage marketing affects the community.
This was made possible through funding from the City Health Department
and is part of the larger "Child Wellness Initiative" (CWI).
