Borough President Molinaro to deliver State of the Borough Address
Tributes to both American troops serving overseas and to the late Al DeLillo and Lou Caravone will highlight Borough President James P. Molinaro’s 2005 “State of the Borough” address, to be held on Wednesday, January 19, at the College of Staten Island’s Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m.
The State of the Borough Address is open to the public. Due to limited seating, Staten Islanders who wish to attend the Address are asked to call (718) 816-2230 during business hours to request tickets.
Molinaro’s special tributes will focus on the bravery of our armed forces and on the great accomplishments and positive contributions made by Caravone and DeLillo, both of whom we have lost in the last year. The Borough President will give a power point presentation on a variety of issues affecting Staten Island. Molinaro will also discuss plans for the continued renaissance of Staten Island’s waterfront, as well as initiatives to reduce traffic.
Invitations to “State of the Borough 2005” were mailed out this week. The Williamson Theatre in CSI’s Center for the Arts seats 450 people. Guests are asked to RSVP to the Borough President’s Special Events Office at (718) 816-2230.
