Borough President Molinaro Arranges HHC Health Screenings For Staten Island

First Day of Screenings to be Held at Borough Hall November 9th

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – At the request of Borough President James P. Molinaro, the New York City Health and Hospital Corporation (HHC) will sponsor  health screenings next month on Staten Island. The first day of screenings will take place in Borough Hall on Tuesday, November 9th in Conference Room 122 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

HHC recently launched Take Care New York Month, inviting “every man, woman and child living in New York City” to get health screenings at HHC locations throughout the city. However, no screenings were scheduled on Staten Island.

To remedy the situation, Borough President Molinaro reached out to HHC and offered to host a day of health screenings at Borough Hall. The screenings will include:

“I am happy to host HHC-sponsored health screenings here at Borough Hall so that Staten Islanders don’t have to travel to another borough for low-cost or no-cost medical tests,” said Molinaro. “For those who can’t make the Borough Hall screenings, a second day of screenings will be held on November 10th at the Stapleton Health Clinic at 111 Canal Street, and HHC will soon be announcing more Staten Island dates for different tests.”

To make an appointment for the Borough Hall screenings, call Joanne Nuzzo, Director of Special Events, at (718) 816-2133.
